I used to think packing was the most exhausting part of moving, but after my last relocation I changed my mind. The real challenge was deciding what to keep and what to get rid of. I found boxes filled with things I hadn't touched in years, yet somehow I still spent time debating whether they should come with me.

A few days before the move, I was reading different experiences online and ended up on a page about furniture relocation in Riyadh. It got me thinking about how everyone focuses on transporting items, while the harder decision is often figuring out which items are actually worth transporting.

By the end of the process, I donated several bags of unused belongings and the apartment felt noticeably easier to organize afterward. In hindsight, I wish I had started sorting weeks earlier instead of leaving everything until the final days.

How do you decide what stays and what goes when you're preparing for a move? Do you follow any specific rule, or do you just make decisions as you pack?
